Are there times when you feel like quitting because things go wrong?

Do you think successful people have a drive and desire to get back up after each knock down?

I wrote this article because I like many people feel like giving up.

There are times when I am faced with negative actions, negative people and negative outcomes.

Have you had one of those days where nothing seems to go right and everything seems to be working against you? I have and that is why I listen to inspirational stories and inspirational people to help me re-focus the positives back into my life.

As Stephen Covey, Jim Rhon and Anthony Robbins always say “It is not what happens to us that matters, it is the meaning we give it”. This simply means that nothing that happens to us needs to make us feel down, in fact when things go wrong, it is the best opportunity to learn and to make the most money – yet we do not, because of our focus on our inner hurt feelings.

We therefore pass on the opportunities.

I attended the National Achievers Congress in 2012 back in 2012 and Donald Trump was speaking (you know the guy – he is fairly wealthy in our game of property investors).

He may know a thing or two things that we can learn from.

Here is a list of quotes that I heard Donald Trump say

  • “You should never ever quit on things”.

He suggested that listening to your gut when you know something is right but others tell you it is wrong.

Think about it this way: 20% of the population has 80% of the world’s wealth.

Do you think that they listen to naysayers or do they surround themselves with other people that will help them to achieve their goals?

  • “Success more than anything else is caused by inner confidence.

You have to believe in yourself, understand your subject, know who you are, love who you are and you have to really want victory”.

You gain inner belief through education, taking action (“Repetition is mother of all skill” – Jim Rhon). Once you have failed, celebrate it like Thomas Edison did when he found “one more method that does not create electricity” but eventually the 1,000+ attempt yielded success.

I believe that education brings knowledge and action and with education, you will yield success after many times of trying, but, never give up.

Here are some ways to stay focused and positive no matter what happens to us:

  • Spend more time with positive people, rather than negative people
  • Stop watching news and soaps that have negative connotations
  • Listen to feel good and positive stories and people (attend seminars)
  • List down 2-3 things that you are grateful for each day (friends, family and colleagues)
  • List down another 2-3 things that went well
  • List 2-3 things that you are good at (each week)

I wish you all the success in your property investing strategies – keep the focus and keep it positive.
